
I think the university faculty is being unfair. Chris Avenir was just making a study group to help other student with their work, its not cheating, it's more like tutoring. but the only difference is that he made it on Facebook.
I think that the student is in the right, his intentions are only good, hes trying to help others. but i understand a bit why the university doesn't want this because it can go a bit too far and students that join the facebook group may not have the same intentions as Chris, they might just want answers to do their work so it is like cheating. But the university shouldn't have gone so far as to think of Expelling him.
I see facebook as only a social utility network, but i don't mind if people want to make groups like that but i onluy think that if they want to share or help someone with homework they shouldn't do it over facebook maybe they should contact somewhere more private like maybe on MSN or Yahoo messenger, or maybe through the telephone, of course though, you have to be sure you know the person because giving your personal information to a complete stranger can be dangerous.
